Polymer Phases made by VDS optilab
Under the name Optigel, VDS optilab offers various ion-exchange separation phases on a polymer basis. The matrix used here is a polystyrene-divinylbenzene network, which is modified in accordance with the desired function.
This makes it possible, in contrast to silica gel phases, to be able to work over a very wide pH range without destroying the phase itself. However, when using polymer phases, care must be taken that these are not subjected to a pressure higher than 100 bar.
The Optigel polymer phases can be used in the following separation problems:
- carbohydrates
- organic acids
- alcohols
- sugar alcohols
- wine analysis
- and many more…
For a detailed overview, see the following Optigel-flyer and table.
