VDSpher® OptiAqua Phases
VDSpher OptiAqua phases have been developed especially for very hydrophilic applications. Special polar endcapping makes it possible to use 100% water as solvent while still maintaining RP properties.
Six VDSpher OptiAqua phases with different modifications as well as pore sizes and particle diameters have been developed on the basis of VDSpher Classic and VDSpher PUR, with which a large number of applications can be implemented. Ideal preconditions therefore exist for preparative as well as the analytical HPLC.
Analytes of different sizes can also be handled optimally. Thus, different molar mass ranges can be covered, depending on the pore size of the modified silica gel. The available VDSpher OptiAqua & OptiAqua PUR reversed phase modifications are shown in the Table.
VDSpher OptiAqua phases can also be used to separate polar substances. Examples of typical analytes include:
- antibiotics
- biomolecules
- drugs
- nucleobases
- organic acids
- parabens
- pesticides
- sulfonamides
- water-soluble vitamines
- xanthines
All VDSpher OptiAqua phases are pH stable in a range of 2 to 7.5 and can be used without any problem up to a temperature of 60 °C.
